In Malaysia, most conversations between private schools and parents happen on WhatsApp. Enrolment enquiries, fee questions, transport changes, complaints. A busy admissions office can handle hundreds of these a week, and once the chat scrolls away, so does the information.

We are developing a service that lets schools keep a log of the conversations on their WhatsApp Business account and look at them as a whole. Which questions come up every week. How long parents wait for a reply. Which enquiries never got a follow-up. The aim is simple: find out where the school’s service works and where it doesn’t, based on what parents actually ask.

How it works
The school connects its own WhatsApp Business account through Meta’s official sign-up process. Messages sent and received on that account are stored for the school, and only the school can see them. Nothing is sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising. The school can disconnect the account and have its data deleted at any time.

The service is in development, and we are looking for a few schools to pilot it. If your school uses WhatsApp Business with parents, contact me at [email protected].
